  • First iPhone Game

Our first iPhone game will be hitting the app store in the next two weeks, it’s super basic, but for starting with no prior knowledge of Cocoa, I think it’s alright.

Stay tuned for further details, and of course, a chance to win a free copy of our game!

p.s. This whole process is hinged on Apple actually approving our app. Minor detail.

  • Firmware 2.1 Jailbreak

It’s been awhile since I wrote about any sort of illegal goodness, so here’s a quick run down on the easiest way to jailbreak an iPhone or iPod touch running firmware 2.1.

The process is certainly a lot easier than it used to be. Now all you have to do (if you run OS X that is) is download QuickPwn 1.1!

Oddly enough I had a jailbroken iPhone with 2.0.2 and I upgraded it to 2.1 and then used QuickPwn to re-jailbreak it and everything still works.

My next post will likely involve the morally black area of running cracked IPA files.

  • Aurora Feint Update

Word on the street is that Aurora Feint will be rolling out an update within the next 24 hours, at this time little is known about what all the update will include, though it will likely improve stability as well as feature a fix for the almost unsolvable Molton Lava puzzle.

  • Passive Income – June 2008

I made a killing off of credit card rewards this month, thanks to their bonus program adding extra cash back on purchases from my distributor. I also had a CD pay out its quarterly interest, and I added a new dividend stock to my portfolio before its Ex-dividend date, so I got in on the dividend this month.

    • Interest: $68.36
    • Dividends: $43.75
    • Credit Card Rewards: $76.02
    • AdSense: $16.20
    • Text Ads: $25.00
    • Surveys: $12.00

Yielding $241.33 for the month of June. Otherwise known as the best month ever. Seriously.

  • Apple Q3 Earnings Call Announced

It’s that time of year again, at 2pm Pacific time on July 21, 2008 Apple will rock the world with their earnings call.

As always though, if the guidance for the next quarter is at all conservative Apple stock will tank… again. Analysts will likely have high expectations for Q4 since the iPhone 3G will be on sale for all but 11 days of that quarter, so when Apple does what they always do and purposefully underestimates their earnings for the next quarter it won’t match up with the hype and their stock will drop like a stone.

Look for a great opportunity to pick up some shares of Apple a few days after the earnings call.
