OQO 02 Hacked to Run OS X
There have been a series of ultra portable computers that have been graced with some sweet Leopard action, thanks to some ingenious tinkering, including the Eee PC and the Samsung Q1 Ultra, now you can add OQO’s 02 to the list. This seems to be one of the more complete installs out there, WiFi, sound, power management and Bluetooth all seem to be working.
While the OQO is a little clunky, it’s still a pretty sweet proof of concept. I’m definitely looking forward to the release of the full instructions on how to get it running, even though I don’t own a OQO.
oqotalk.com member trf has posted a short video demoing the OQO running Leopard, check it out after the jump.

Samsung Q1 Ultra
I’ve been going back and forth and whether or not I should buy a UMPC. Now one could argue that I don’t need one, and they’d be right… but I can dream!
If I did buy one, I think I’d go with the Samsung Q1U-V. The base specs are decent for a UMPC (especially for its price of $799)… Intel Processor A110(800MHz), 7″ WSVGA screen, 1GB DDR2 400 RAM, 60GB 4200rpm hard drive, Intel GMA950 graphics card, and Windows Vista Home Premium (which I would replace with Windows XP Tablet Edition). Full specs are located after the jump.
In the end I opted not to purchase one, mainly because between my laptop and my iPhone I already have enough gadgets to cover my computing needs. Though I might reconsider getting a UMPC if the HTC Shift drops in price drastically.

Foxconn Delivering 3G iPhones in June?
Foxconn (aka Hon Hai Precision Industry) has supposedly won the bid for the assembly of the elusive 3G-capable second generation iPhone. They are expected to deliver up to 3 million of the next generation iPhone in June, with a total production run expected to be 24-25 millions throughout the life-cycle of the device.
This is all according to a report by the Commerical Times, who fanboys may remember accurately reported that Foxconn had won the contract for the original iPhones.
