    Hitman the movie is free

Don’t ask me how or why, but you can grab yourself a free copy of Hitman for a limited time (as in until Apple catches on). There’s a little glitch in iTunes that allows you to grab it for free, though after watching the first three minutes I decided free was just too high a price and deleted the film.

    Check it out for yourself:
In iTunes, click iTunes store, look for the “Browse” on Quick Links in the right hand side. Than, select “Movies” and then “Thriller”. Look for the title “Hitman”. You will see it is free (as pictured below) for the whole version at 1.06GB. I can download it and watch it successfully.

    Get Hitman for free!

  • iPhone Syncing Error

Author: Aaron Nelsen - 2:45 pm

    23 Apr

I’d recently added a few new email accounts to Mail.app and when I went to sync my iPhone it threw back the following error:

“iTunes could not sync mail accounts to the iPhone “Aaron Nelsen’s iPhone” because an error occurred remapping record identifiers.”

Here’s what ended up fixing it for me: Next time you go to sync, click on the info tab in iTunes and uncheck the Sync selected Mail accounts box. Click Apply.

Close iTunes and disconnect your iPhone.

Next, open iSync (Applications -> iSync)

Open the iSync preferences. Hit “Reset Sync History”. Confirm your choice when it asks for confirmation.

Close iSync. Open iTunes, connect the iPhone and try syncing again. You will need to go back to the Info tab and recheck the Sync selected Mail accounts.

  • iTunes Error -9808

Author: Aaron Nelsen - 7:12 pm

    15 Mar

A friend of mine suddenly couldn’t access the iTunes Store after upgrading to the latest version, every time he tried to purchase something he kept getting the following error:

“We could not complete your iTunes store request,an unknown error occurred (-9808)”

I couldn’t find anything online about it, so here’s how we fixed it under Windows XP. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Advanced Tab, make sure that both the SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 options are checked. Then under Security make sure that the “Check for server certificate revocation (requires restart)” is unchecked. Then click ok, restart and fire up iTunes.
