Here’s the break down of my passive income for December 2007. I’m happy to report my passive income was slightly more than double what it was in November.

    • AdSense: $5.39
    • Text Ads: $16.02
    • Misc website income: $15

My total for December is $128.09, that’s an increase of $64.90 over November.

  • Best Free Mac Software – Redux

    [ Browser ]
Firefox – Need I say anything else? My browser of choice no matter what OS you’re running.

    [ RSS ]
Vienna – An excellent RSS reader

    [ Email ]
Thunderbird – Mail.app is a fantastic email client, but Thunderbird still outshines it. Truth be told though, I hardly use my desktop email client.
Google Notifier – If you use Gmail this application is a must have. Automatically checks your Google Calendar and Gmail account and notifies you of upcoming events and email messages.

    [ IM ]
Aduim – A feature rich Instant Messaging client, with a broad range of supported clients makes this a must have.

    [ File Sharing ]
Transmission – A simple, easy to use BitTorrent client that’s a little more developed than Tomato.

    [ FTP ]
Cyberduck – A departure from the normal two paned view you might be used to in FTP programs, but still a robust program with support for FTP (File Transfer Protocol), FTP/TLS (FTP secured over SSL/TLS) and SFTP

    [ Video Playback ]
VLC Player – Fast, stable and wide ranging codec support makes VLC a fantastic all around media player
Flip4Mac – Adds support for playing WMV files in QuickTime

    [ DVD Ripping ]
Handbrake – It may not offer the widest range of options when ripping a DVD, but it’s straight forward and produces high quality rips with no hassle.

    [ CD Burning ]
LiquidCD – Excellent alternative to the native disc burning in OS X

    [ Finance ]
Cashbox – Simple and easy to use software to keep track of your finances

    [ Misc ]
smcFanControl 2.1 – A must have for managing the fan speeds on your Macbook / Macbook Pro
Growl – Growl is a notification system for Mac OS X: it allows applications that support Growl to send you notifications.
Alarm Clock 2 – I would be late for work/classes almost daily if it wasn’t for this program, with options for waking up to either an annoying klaxon or music from your iTunes library.

  • Ridiculously Freakin’ Awesome…

That’s pretty much all I was able to say about the Dark Knight trailer. I’m sure, unless you live under a rock, that you’ve seen this already. But if not, I felt, being the entertainment editor around these parts, it was my duty. So please, take the time to click the following link and watch the trailer for what is, by far, the movie I’m most looking forward to in 2008.

  • New Year… new things… deal with it!!

Probably fairly evident that I didn’t spend much time thinking about that title, but… life goes on.

Alright, perhaps nobody reads this blog anymore, since we barely posted over the last 3 months or so, but I vow to do my best to remedy that problem, as Fred recently covered. I’m going to try to post SOMETHING every week. I put too much stock in coming up with something worth posting, which, after reading a couple other blogs, I realized that isn’t entirely necessary!

I’ve been spending alot of time watching football lately. Some of these bowl games have been very intriguing, even the blowouts have had something that grabbed my interest (in the BCS games anyway). The NFL regular season is over and the playoffs start in a couple days, and the coaching carousel has swung into full effect. I’m sure I have some thoughts or opinions somewhere in those statements, but it seems to be escaping me at this moment. I’ll be sure to put my thoughts together just a bit before I start writing next time, but, just so you know… that time WILL come. Have a great 2008.

  • Happy New Year 2008

We at Hijinks Inc wish all of our readers safe and prosperous year.

In keeping with the tradition of making New Year’s resolutions (and promptly breaking them two weeks in) I’ve made my own list of soon to be broken promises.

    1. Post once a week.

    2. Use my gym membership

    3. Live on 60 bucks a week while I’m going to school

    4. Stop being a slacker (see 1 and 2)

Got any New Year’s resolutions you’ve made? Think you keep them for longer then a month?
