The final game of week 2 is finished, and to be honest, I still don’t know for sure what’s going on. That’s the beauty of the NFL. The other beautiful thing is that I won all my fantasy football games this weekend, I can’t remember that ever happening before.

Off brand, name brand, and quality: Part II
Last time I talked about the quality difference in bathroom vanities at different price levels. This time around I’ll address a question a receive quite a bit when people are shopping for bathroom vanities.
Why are bathroom cabinets so much more expensive then kitchen cabinets??
The price difference between kitchen and bathroom cabinets stems mainly from the assembly line vs. handmade manufacturing. Assembly line is always going to be cheaper then paying one guy to build it from scratch. But even then, the factory made bathroom vanity I talked about in my first post is still nearly twice the price of it’s kitchen counterpart. Why is this? Well, because stores buy more of them. My store stocks about the same total number of kitchen and bathroom cabinets, but while there is probably less then a dozen kitchen cabinet SKUs, my department has upwards of forty different styles and sizes bathroom vanities. The actual number of cabinets is the same, but our stock counts per cabinet are much lower.

Bioshock
I really didn’t know much about Bioshock when it came out. I’d seen the commercial and glanced at a couple of previews, but that was pretty much it (I knew so little about the game, I thought you played as the dude on the front cover, with the auger hand). I downloaded and played the demo on Xbox Live and was intrigued. Then, after I read a couple of reviews that gave it a 9.9 and a perfect 10, I figured I needed to give it a try. After playing it for awhile, I have 2 words to say “Holy crap!”

McDonald’s vs. Starbucks
I don’t really like Starbucks, so I’m going to enjoy writing this immensely.
A recent Consumer Reports taste-test McDonald’s coffee beat out Starbucks!
The magazine says McDonald’s Premium Roast Coffee has “no flaws,” labeling it “decent and moderately strong.” The java from Starbucks, meanwhile, was determined to be “strong, but burnt and bitter enough to make your eyes water instead of open.”
Granted this is just talking about regular coffee, most people go to Starbucks for a Caramel Macchiato or White Mocha Frappuccino, but still that’s embarrassing. McDonald’s has also recently starting offering other drinks as well, such as lattes and cappuccinos in some locations.

PC vs. Mac
I ran across this Microsoft sponsored post on the blog of a friend, of a friend, of a friend… Or something like that. Anyhow, I found it rather humorous and thought I would share.
I don’t know why Mac users get so defensive when you call them idiots. I mean, Apple is a company that has built its entire user base around the fact that its users can’t do simple things like turn their computers on. Most Mac users can’t even talk without using their hands, which ranks their intelligence somewhere between a simian and hog crap.
Stupid user base aside, I will never own a Mac. It’s not so much that I’m a PC loyalist. I’m not. It’s that I’m not stylish enough to own one. Most iPod commercials feature guys with long hair, chicks roller skating, and guys wearing fedoras. I feel like in order to have a Mac, I need to be:
– An artist.
– In a band.
– Unemployed
