Week 4

Wait, did you hear that noise? That was the sound of the wheels falling off for a couple teams. The Rams might as well mail the rest of the season in. Their whole offensive line is hurt, their RB is out, and now the QB is going to join him. I thought Buffalo would be the best bet to go winless this year, but St. Louis just keeps finding ways to fall further apart.

Speaking of Buffalo, that Trent Edwards guy looks like the real deal. He’s one of those “game managing” type QBs, the ones that aren’t flashy, but don’t lose the game, and then lets the defense take care of the rest. He filled in for the injured JP Losman and did quite admirably, given, it was against the Jets, but a win is a win.

Wherever Drew Carey is right now, he’s probably belting out the chorus to “Cleveland Rocks”, and I’m actually starting to believe him. They really took it to Baltimore this week, and Derek Anderson is doing a fantastic job of keep Brady Quinn on the bench. Honestly, I thought Quinn would be entrenched as the starter by now, flailing about week after week looking alot like Charlie Frye last year. But this team looks legit. The defense is playing well, and the offense is scoring enough points to be competitive every week. Lookout playoffs, here come the Browns!

The NFC Central is starting to look sick. Chicago looks worse every week, but if that offense manages to come together, or show signs of life at all, and the defense gets healthy… alright, who am I kidding. Da Bears stink out loud this year. But Detroit and Green Bay show me something new every week. I jumped on both of their bandwagons after week 1, but I always expect them to let me down each week, and they don’t. I don’t think the Lions have been good since I knew what a football was, so this is new territory to me. Meanwhile, Fav-ruh breaks a new record every week. The NFC better look out.

And for my pick last week, only the Lions managed to pull through for me. I’m gonna stick with the Lions and Packers to continue those win streaks, KC to pull out a close one, and New Orleans is my upset pick.
