  • Starcraft 3 Announced

Hot on the heels of releasing Starcraft 2, the 12 year in the making sequel to Starcraft, Blizzard has announced that they will only make Starcraft 3 if you do the following*…

*Ok, so they might not have said that… Or even announced Starcraft 3 at all.

  • Jailbreak 101: Backgrounder

Apple may have added multitasking into iOS 4, but it isn’t true multitasking. What if you want something a little more versatile? Or hey, maybe like me, you’re running older hardware which according to Apple “doesn’t support multitasking”, or even an iPad which doesn’t have iOS 4 yet. At any rate, I would highly recommend you check out Backgrounder.

Here’s how to install and configure Backgrounder.

  • Parrot AR Drone Available for Pre-Order

Parrot AR Drone Available for Pre-Order

After years of wondering if it would ever reach production, let alone be affordable, the Parrot AR Drone is now up for pre-order on Brookstone’s website!

This wonderfully awesome piece of iPhone controlled gadgetry will set you back a cool $299+ shipping (which was $10 on my order) and won’t arrive until sometime after September 3rd, but that seems pretty tangible after the long period of waiting since the Parrot was first demoed at CES. I just bought one, you should too.

500 Internal Server Error with WordPress 3.0

Recently I finally got around to upgrading this site (and several others) to WordPress 3.0 and everything went smoothly until I tried to login to my admin page, where I was greeted by this lovely message:

Error 500 – Internal server error
An internal server error has occurred!
    Please try again later.

    Wonderful.

Turns out that this error was caused by the way my host, 1&1, parses PHP files and while it’s rather annoying, it’s at least relatively easy to fix. I should note that technically WordPress 3.0 also shares some of the blame, as it requires parts be run through PHP5 (1&1 by default uses PHP 4 to parse scripts).

    Here’s how to fix it…
