  • Hello iPhone

A few days after the iPhone 3G was announced I sold my first gen iPhone for much more than it was worth, the best part is I sold it with my contract… Now I have no plan to return to AT&T as their service is crap and they have no coverage in Nebraska, but I do miss having an iPhone or an iPod touch.

I’ve been considering getting an iPod touch for the past few weeks, but have been holding off. Well today I found a first gen 8GB iPhone available for $100, dang sweet deal! I’m hopefully gonna take a look at it tomorrow and if it’s in good condition I’ll purchase it.

Now I can spend all the money I saved on apps in the App Store.

  • Adikus grabs Pool cue, doffs money hat.

In a sudden and somewhat surprising move, indie developer Adikus has taken their aptly titled Pool sim for the iPhone and iPod Touch to the consumer market. With the upgrade to version 2.1 they have added a $9.00 price tag.

Adikus has recently partnered with RiP Dev, a software dev and distribution house. From their website:

Since the game continues to evolve and be improved, it is now being distributed by RiP Dev (www.ripdev.com), one of the largest software houses for the iPhone.
Adikus.com will continue developing the game while RiP Dev will provide the customer support for it.

Adikus’ only other project is a Backgammon port for the iPhone, which is currently still a freeware release.

  • Free iPod touch (for students)

Looks like the rumors were true! Apple announced today that they will be offering students a free iPod touch or iPod Nano with the purchase of a Mac computer (Mac Mini excluded of course).

My question is simple, why would you ever pick an iPod Nano over an iPod touch?

  • Top Five iPhone Games That Don’t Exist…Yet

With the dozens of games already available for the iPhone and iPod Touch, you would think that all the obvious ideas would have been taken already. I mean, we have Tetris, Pool, Chess, Snake..pretty much every cell phone staple you could think of right? Wrong. Here’s five games that no one has ported that are just begging for their time to shine. (more…)

  • This ain’t how your Grandpa went fishin’

I’ll admit I have a soft spot for boats, and this one is no exception. Pictured is the 2008 Four Winns Express Cruiser V458.

I priced one on their website to the tune of $786,768… but I guess that’s the premium you pay for iPod compatibility.

    More pics after the jump.
