  • What will they think of next?

    I figure this might as well become a series, that way I don’t have to come up with a new topic every time I want to share some cool link with you guys! Yay for laziness!

    Anyway, I thought this was a good idea and if any of you are TV watchers, it might be handy. It’s called CAT (Calendar for TV). It’s a calendar that you can customize to only show your favorite shows, it gives you a quick synopsis about the show, you can adjust for your timezone, and even set it up for your own specific printer-friendly layout. I do most of my TV watching on DVD (except for Prison Break and after the little bit of “Back to You” that I caught last night, I might have to add that to the list) but this might be nice if you’re trying to track a bunch of shows.

  • Halo 3: The Review

    Alright, I finally pulled myself away from Halo 3 long enough to give you a few quick blurbs for a review. The game definitely pulled through in a few areas, but I actually think they could have done better in a few others.

  • The $5 gets redesigned

    Hot on the heels of the dollars decline The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has announced that they will releasing a redesign of the five dollar bill. You may recall that originally the five wasn’t going to be redesigned. But they quickly changed their minds once counterfeiters began bleaching $5 notes and printing fake $100 bills on the bleached paper to take advantage of the fact that some of the security features were in the same locations on both notes.

    To pimp slap this counterfeiting trick, the government is changing the $5 watermark from one of Lincoln to two separate watermarks featuring the numeral 5. Also, the security thread embedded in the $5 bill is being moved to a different location than the one sported on the $100 bill.

    Larry Felix, director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing was quoted as saying

    “We wanted this redesigned bill to scream, ‘I am a five. I am a five,’”

  • Web Design

    I do a fair amount of web design, I don’t think I’m amazing at it, but I also don’t suck. But here’s the thing, while I can design a good looking website, there’s only so much I can do to code sweet features. I have a basic understanding of PHP, a splash of Javascript, and a good handle on CSS, but I certainly have my limits.

    There in lies the problem.

  • Halo 3

    Since the greater part of American is glued to their TVs, playing Halo 3 today, I thought it fitting those of us not lucky enough to own a 360 the opportunity to…well…really wish we owned a 360.

    Some folks with way too much time on their hands put together a complilation of Halo backstory to link the novels, the games, and now the next installment of the series. It’s a long read, but pretty entertaining if you have any interest in the game.
