One man’s guide to becoming the ultimate… housewife? Day 2 (sorta)

Alright, when I last updated you guys, I was finishing out my last week after having quit my job. They let me go Wednesday after we finished the biggest job we had in production and I took the rest of the day to celebrate. I gotta tell you, it feels really good to quit your job, you should try it sometime! (I guess now is about the time I should tell you that Hijinks Inc. does not take any responsibility for any advice you take from this blog)

So Thursday was my first day of working towards being the ultimate housewife. My wife, Elisha, happened to have Thursday and Friday off, so she sort of gave me a boot camp on the whole ordeal. Thursday I spent most of the day finishing up a wedding album that I was designing for a local photographer. On Friday, Elisha taught me how to make pancakes, which was a bigger deal than anticipated because we ran out of milk and had to make a run to the grocery store, I spent some time doing some “research” for my blog (which is what I called playing Bioshock for a few hours), and I also did all the laundry. These are all chores that I’ll be getting used to… eventually… I hope.

After enjoying the weekend, we had a bit more engaging task scheduled for Monday as Elisha walked me through the process of cleaning the bathroom. I was one of those lucky kids that had a mom that cleaned the bathroom while I grew up, so this was a first for me and I gotta say I did a pretty good job. Elisha even told me after the fact that she didn’t think I’d live up to her expectations, and she was pleasantly surprised.

Today I begin work on a website that I’m designing for a startup church that my friend is running. I’m hoping to have it finished up by the end of the week (which might be a little unrealistic, but I can still hope) and if all goes well, next week I plan on getting out to market my business a little bit. But for now, I gotta get going because there’s a bunch of re-arranging I need to do, followed by some vacuuming.
