I was a little uncertain about making another Minecraft article but, I couldn’t help but sharing this wonderful new world with anyone who hasn’t yet experienced the pure joy that makes Minecraft as addicting as it is!

Hijinks Inc. Minecraft Alpha Multiplayer Server
As you might have heard, Minecraft has caught our collective eyes here at Hijinks Inc. so much so, that not only have myself, Fred and Jared bought the game, but we’ve also decided to launch a multiplayer server available to a select few.

Like the software, our server is in alpha. Basically that means it’s an old MacBook sitting behind my TV in my living room, which also means it doesn’t have a static IP, we’re currently getting around that by using an easy to remember subdomain name, and if the IP address of the server changes we’ll just update where the domain is being pointed. In short, we don’t expect to have much downtime, but you’ve been warned.

Five Things Android Could Learn from iOS
These aren’t ordered in any particular manor, just a random list of five things that iOS does better than Android 2.2.
1. Style. Android is nice looking, but a little utilitarian in places. Whereas iOS is sleek and stylish to the very end.
2. App badges. Androids task bar notifications are great, but badges are handy for those lower priority apps, not to mention inbox counts.
3. Centralized settings. I really like the fact that iOS lets app developers include a settings page inside of Settings.app.
4. Parental controls. Android seems to be lacking even basic options for parental controls.
5. Remote wipe. Yes, they have APIs to enable applications to do this, but let’s see a native app ship with the OS.

Hijinks Reviews: Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days
I have to begin this review by being honest and up front with you guys, I don’t have a ton of time to play lots of video games. I know that’s about as bad a way as possible to start a video game review… but I don’t want to come across as a guy that’s put in hours and hours with a game when that’s just simply not true. Having a family and coaching a football team doesn’t allow for much alone time in front of the television to play these games. Maybe down the road if this blog becomes a full time gig, I’ll be able to give these games the requisite time to give a full review. In the meantime, you get the average guy who leads a full, active life’s view of the game, you can take that for what it’s worth.The other truth I have to lay on you is this, I never played the original Kane & Lynch game. I walked into Blockbuster with the knowledge that that original game sparked talks of an upcoming movie, and apparently was good enough for a sequel, so I grabbed a copy and gave it a try.
